Odisha gain 3 points in drawn U-22 match vs Andhra Pradesh

CUTTACK, Nov 08, 2011 (Team OCA):  Host Odisha secured three points by virtue of taking a 78-run first innings lead against Andhra Pradesh in their four-day C K Nayudu Trophy (U-22) Elite Group C league match, which ended in a draw at Sunshine ground here today. Chasing 250 for victory, Andhra Pradesh were 115 for five when both the captains agreed for the draw.
All-rounder Lagnajit Samal put up impressive performance in the match, scoring a century in the first innings and bagging three wickets in the second innings. Anurag Sarangi was other notable Odisha performer, hitting a half-century in the first innings.
With this match, Odisha ended their campaign in the five-team group, garnering six points from four matches. Led by Govind Poddar, Odisha earlier suffered innings defeat against Bengal, Baroda and held Karnataka to a draw.
